Scriptural Reasoning

Scriptural Reasoning is a program based on the curriculum from Cambridge University and The Rose Castle Foundation. In this program people of different faiths come together to read and reflect on their scriptures side-by-side. This program is not about seeking agreement but rather exploring the texts and their possible interpretations across faiths. The result is often a deeper understanding of others' and one’s own scriptures, as well as the development of strong bonds across faith communities.
The partnership between OneJax and The Atlantic Institute/Istanbul Center works to grow Scriptural Reasoning in our community. Members of the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities gathered to break bread and learn from one another's traditions. As we continue to build bridges across differences, Scriptural Reasoning is just one of the ways we at OneJax are trying to respect, understand, and connect with our neighbors.
